Natural Hair is in the Building at the 19th Annual Elle Magazine Women in Hollywood Celebration
This past Monday, Hollywood stars arrived at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills for the 19th annual Elle magazine Women in Hollywood Celebration. The honorees for the Women in Hollywood issue included Sarah Jessica Parker, Octavia Spencer, Cate Blanchett, Emma Watson, Kristen Wiig, Uma Thurman, Elle Fanning, Susan Sarandon, and Shirley MacLaine.

The event, hosted by Joel McHale of E’s The Soup, paid tribute to the “nine leading female dramatists of showbiz” (Elle 2012). The four honorees set to grace the November cover of Elle include Octavia Spencer, Sarah Jessica Parker, Emma Watson, and Dakota Fanning.

Can I just say that Octavia looks fab in Tadashi Shoji? I may just have to add a dress from this collection (see below) to my wish list. The clothes have the perfect mix of glam and sophistication for a woman like me.

And I’m happy to report that natural hair was in the building! Naturally glam divas Viola Davis and actress Danai Gurira of The Walking Dead attended the luncheon. See, ladies? Natural hair can be and is versatile! Davis is rocking a short, colored, cropped ‘do while Gurira is werk-ing her short cut in a Kimberly Ovitz bodycon . Both ladies look stunning in all-white with a splash of color.
