Mondays around the web – Black Girl With Long Hair

Posted on November 14, 2011 by admin

Today’s feature comes from the blog, Black Girl with Long Hair. A question was posed to the Black Girl with Long Hair Forum:

(There are only so many ads online but others that I’ve seen include Cheerios, McDonalds and more )

Is anyone else noticing this trend? What is it attributed to, in your opinion?

One of the responses included:

“O yea I definitely started noticing more naturals in commercials! It’s actually pretty cool. However, I haven’t seen many (if any) commericals for natural hair care. Just like they make them for Pantene, I feel like there should be commercials for natural hair care companies as well….
Just today I saw a commercial today of a little girl rockin her afro puff!! I was so excited!
I think this is wonderful. It’s attributed to openess…acceptance, all that good stuff :D ”
